Lumineers-logo-Tulsa-OK Lumineers are a non-invasive method of creating a beautiful smile. They can be an ideal solution for people who have gaps between their teeth or slight misalignment problems. Lumineers can also disguise uneven, cracked, or broken teeth. Perhaps the greatest benefit of Lumineers is that they are not normally apparent to others. Dr. Katie Warlick and Dr.  Matthew Warlick offer Lumineers to patients in Coweta, Wagoner, Haskell, Broken Arrow, Muskogee and surrounding areas of Oklahoma.

Since each person’s mouth is different, Lumineers need to be custom-designed to fit each patient. During the initial visit, a mold of the individual’s teeth is taken. The impression is then sent to a dental laboratory, where technicians design a set of Lumineers that are ideal for the patient based upon the impression they received. Once completed, these devices are shipped back to our Coweta office so they can be attached to the patient’s teeth.

Before attaching Lumineers, Dr. Katie or Dr. Matt will etch the teeth slightly with a special tool. This does not create a painful sensation, so no anesthesia is necessary. After etching the teeth, the Lumineers will be placed over the top of the patient’s natural teeth, and then use a curing light to bond this material in place. The results can be noticed immediately, and in some cases are extremely dramatic.

People who have Lumineers placed on their teeth should be careful not to bite hard objects, as this could cause damage to the porcelain material used to create them. They should also avoid biting their fingernails, grinding teeth together, or chewing on ice. Good oral hygiene is essential for making sure teeth stay healthy. Since the bonding agent used to attach Lumineers darkens easily, patients should avoid drinking tea, coffee, or cola drinks to keep them brilliantly white.
